Centered by William Land Park, the community is located just south of downtown Sacramento. Its architecturally distinctive vintage homes, large shade trees, historic acorn streetlights, and treasured local businesses make Land Park among the most desirable neighborhoods in which to live. The neighborhoods in Land Park include South Land Park, Little Pocket and South Land Park Hills. South Land Park borders the Sacramento River, while South Land Park Hills is an almost primarily residential area with houses and apartment complexes. This region is part of three school districts, these include, Center Joint Unified, Sacramento City Unified and Washington Unified.
